At Seito Camera, we believe that transparency is the foundation of a successful shoot. Our logistics and rental protocols are designed to protect your production, ensuring that every piece of equipment arrives in perfect condition and is backed by professional support.
Collecting Your Equipment
To ensure a secure chain of custody, we follow a strict identification protocol. Whether you are picking up the gear personally or sending a transport service, the following is required:
Identification: All clients or authorized personnel must provide a valid ID (DNI), Driver’s License (new format), or Passport to collect the material.
Authorized Personnel: If a third party or a transport company is collecting the gear, we require prior written authorization from the production company.
The Hub: Collections take place at our facilities in Sant Just Desvern (Barcelona), within the Isaac Peral Audiovisual Hub.
Quality Assurance & Prep Day
We take technical rigor seriously. Before any kit leaves our facility:
Mandatory Verification: Equipment must be checked and verified by the client or a designated person. Seito Camera is not liable for results once the gear has been accepted.
The Prep Day: We encourage cinematographers and focus pullers to schedule a prep day at our hub to calibrate optics, test configurations, and ensure the kit is set-ready.
On-Set Performance: Our gear is delivered in perfect aesthetic and technical condition, ready to perform in high-pressure environments.
Tailored Delivery Solutions
If you cannot collect the gear personally, we offer professional logistics tailored to the film industry:
Specialized Delivery: We provide professional transport with drivers who understand the sensitivity of cinema equipment.
Direct-to-Set: Delivery and collection directly at your location or stage within Barcelona and the surrounding areas.
Logistics Coordination: We coordinate with your production team to match call times, ensuring the gear is on set exactly when needed.
Comprehensive Cinema Insurance
Peace of mind is standard. Every rental includes a mandatory 6% insurance fee over the base price to cover unforeseen accidents during use.
The Franchise: In the event of a covered claim, a 500€ deductible (franquicia) per incident applies.
Custody & Storage: Equipment must be under the custody of a crew member at all times. If stored in a vehicle during non-working hours, it must be in a guarded parking facility with 24-hour surveillance.
Exclusions: Insurance does not cover negligence, misuse, theft from unattended vehicles, loss of digital data, or high-risk shoots (water, drones, war zones) unless specifically agreed upon in writing.
Incident Reporting: Any incident (theft, fire, accident) must be reported to the police and Seito Camera within 24 hours.
Critical: Laser Damage Warning
In modern production environments (music videos, events), lasers pose a severe risk to digital sensors.
Direct Liability: The client (producer) assumes full responsibility for any sensor damage caused by lasers.
The Cost: A sensor replacement can exceed 20,000€. The producer is also responsible for the loss of rental income while the camera is being repaired by the official technical service.
Returns & Scheduling
Efficiency at the end of the shoot is as important as at the beginning.
Return Window: Equipment must be returned between 10:00h and 12:00h on the agreed return date.
Late Returns: Returns made after the agreed time without prior notice will incur a 150% daily rate penalty as compensation.
Cancellations: We value planning. Cancellations made less than 3 natural days before the shoot will result in a 50% loss of the booking fee.
Payment Terms
To confirm a booking, payments must be made in advance via Bank Transfer or Cash, unless a recurring billing agreement has been established with our administration department. All budget amounts must be accepted and confirmed before the gear leaves the facility.
